9 Pointer

This is Robby's first deer experience. This is also my first 'real' buck that I have ever shot. He's a 2 1/2 year old 9 pointer that I was fortunate enough to take with my bow last Friday morning. I was pretty excited and I look forward to some deer burger and sausage! Robby thought it was pretty cool. He liked to pet the deer and grab a hold of his antlers. I think we have a future bow hunter in the making.

This weekend, Christine and I are heading up with her family for opening weekend with a rifle. Christine will have the gun and the only think I'll be shooting is the camera. Plus I get to take care of all the fun stuff once Christine puts one down! Did I mention that this is our Christmas music kick-off weekend. Yeah Baby!

Some Wild and Crazy Guys!

Just thought I would put something new up even though this picture is more than a month old. This is Robby and his 'Pa Pa' sitting on his Harley. Grandpa thinks he's a wild man living the dream! Grandpa says 'your only 18 twice!' Robby... don't even think about getting a motorcycle!

Robby's 1st Birthday Party

One happy family and one cute little boy.
His awesome birthday cake that his mommy made him (this is daddy writing)!

Beautiful!

Thank you to everyone who came to Robby's birthday party and making it such a wonderful time. We are thankful for such a great family and friends. We are truly blessed.

Birthday Cake

Not real sure about this thing called cake!
I think I'll give it a try...
Mmmm... that's pretty good.

Cake is my new favorite food. Can I have some more?

Birthday Animals

Farm animals from his birthday party.

Chocolate Mustache

Chocolate Mustache... need I say more?

Cereal

Nothing beats a bowl of golden puffs on Saturday morning! I love Robby with that 'i just woke up' look.

Tonka Truck Time

Well, Robby is all boy! This is just one of his 3 trucks! It's probably his favorite thing to do. He loves to drive and steer anything with a wheel.

Just a quick bit of advice if you want to be Robby's best friend... let him drive your car. Or at least pretend he's driving your car. He just might turn out to be the next Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson. Who knows, I know that would make his great grandpa and his uncle very happy! So we'll just wait and see. He's got at least 14 more years before we start that process.

Robby's First Snow!!!

Although this wasn't the first snow of the season... it was Robby's first time playing in it. We had missed the first snow by a day or two and it quickly melted away. Christine was a little upset that Robby didn't get to play in it, I however was more concerned about his 'snow suit'. It's not that it's not a nice suit, or that it won't keep him warm, or even that it has Tigger on it. It's just from a male point of view, well, it's not the manliest kind of snow suit. You know, maybe some camo or carhart or the color blue! I will say that underneath Tigger, there's camo pants with a blue shirt and they don't even match! Yeah Buddy!

Back to the snow... We had about 4-8 inches that covered everything. It was a bit bright and I'm not sure Robby knew what to think. We found some 'untouched' snow near a tree and sat him down with our camera and video camera and let it roll. His first reaction, which is like most of his reactions at this point in time, was to reach straight down and grab a big handful. First with his left hand and then with his right. I thought for sure he would attempt to put it in his mouth but he just rubbed it around in his hands. And that was about it. Next year at this time, I am expecting a few sled rides, a snow man, and maybe a little bit of a snow ball fight. We'll see!

P.S. Don't I have the most gorgeous wife and baby boy!?!

Happy New Year!

2007 sure went by fast. I can think back to some of my more memorable days like they were yesterday. We have had a lot of great days in the Rash family but none have been greater in 2007 than the arrival of our baby boy! That was our greatest moment. What a miracle! What a blessing! God is good, amen?!

I look forward to the new year and to the hope we all have that we too are new creations. Although I am not a big 'resolutions' guy, what I do embrace with the turning of a new year, is that fresh start which we all need. I love knowing that whatever happened last year, good or bad, is now all behind us. We can make 2008 the best year of our lives. It is our annual renewal of heart, mind, soul, and strength. The Lord has many things in store for his people and I am thankful that we can be a part of His mission. So may the Lord lead and direct you and may you find peace in Him unlike anything else.

God Bless!

"Not that I have already obtained all of this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do:Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:12-14
